The August meeting will take place at the Ohio Aeronca Aviators Fly-in at Barber Airport, on Saturday the 20th. Breakfast is being served from 7 until 11, and we will have a short Chapter meeting at 11 a.m.

Plans for the September meeting are still being formed, but the October meeting will probably consist of an Aviation Safety Seminar on the topic of Winter icing. Location and details to follow.

We received word that the new leadership of the Mid-East Regional Fly-in (MERFI) has scheduled the fly-in for the last weekend of August. 2005. After a year's absence, and the possibility of losing it forever, we're certainly glad to see this long-running aviation gathering once again making an appearance in its reorganized form. We hope that the 531 membership will make a strong showing at Marion Municipal Airport during the weekend of August 26th, to support the continuation of grassroots aviation events such as MERFI.
